Tips to crack CTET Exam 2018

CTET Exam is conducted by CBSE twice a year for the teachers who intend to teach in a reputed educational institute under CBSE Affiliation and government school.  It is an essential qualification besides B.Ed or Diploma in Education. The successful candidates are awarded a score card which certifies them as the qualified teachers to render quality teaching.
Exam Pattern of CTET
CTET is an offline exam with pen and paper mode. The duration for the exam is 150 minutes with 150 questions. There is no negative marking but the questions are case study based which needs a thorough knowledge and analytical thinking. The paper is divided into 5 sections and each question carries 1 mark each.
There are two categories in CTET Exam:
  1. a) PAPER 1: Paper 1 is conducted for those candidates who want to teach the classes from. I to V
  2. b) Paper 2: Paper 2 is conducted for those candidates who want to teach the classes from VI to VIII.

How to prepare for CTET Exam?
After understanding the syllabus and pattern of CTET Exam, now let us discuss some useful preparation tips to crack the Exam.
1. Start Preparation as early as possible:
It is better to start preparing for the exams well in advance. All the subjects should be thoroughly studied so that you can answer any question from anywhere. Refer NCERT books to study as the questions are based on the chapters given in NCERT Books other than pedagogical issues based questions.
2. Maximum Practice to boost Confidence Level – 
After completing the syllabus practice previous year question papers to understand the level and pattern of CTET Exam. It will boost your confidence and you can improve your weak topics.
3. Thoroughly revise the topics –
Choose the subject which you know and most comfortable with while revising. Do not touch any new topic or the topics which you are not confident with as it will lower your confidence level.  It is better if you practice those topics which are very well understood by you.
4. Prepare Pedagogical subject’s thoroughly – 
Every subject has pedagogical theory questions, therefore if one prepares pedagogy of each subject they are going to take exam will make it easy for them to score well.
5.  Design effective test taking strategy – 
Plan your test taking strategy so that you can attempt the paper with confidence. You should be aware of your strengths and weakness. It will help you in choosing the questions and answer them accurately. Try to avoid weak topic based questions.
